Brazos Begins Construction of Fiber to the Premise in Newcastle

Brazos Communications (Brazos) is formally announcing its plan to bring faster internet access to homes and businesses in Newcastle, TX.  Faster internet has many benefits, including quicker downloads of web pages and higher quality videos. The construction of new fiber optic distribution routes are scheduled to begin in the town of Newcastle beginning August 2016.  These fiber routes will replace the existing copper network.

Brazos has partnered with Dragon Utilities and Splicers, Inc. to help with the building of these new routes, and bring Fiber to the Premise (FTTP) to customers in Newcastle.  The fiber distribution system and FTTP construction phases, have a projected completion date of 2017.  *FTTP service availability will depend on customer location within the Brazos footprint.
