Brazos Telephone Cooperative, Inc. (Brazos) is formally announcing its plan to bring faster internet access to homes and businesses in Olney. Faster Internet has many benefits, including quicker downloads of web pages and higher quality videos. Brazos will begin with the installation of a state-of-the-art fiber ring around the town of Olney. Once the fiber ring is completed, the Fiber to the Premise (FTTP) construction phase will start.
Brazos has partnered with Kelly Cable of New Mexico, Inc. to help with construction of the fiber ring and the final step of building fiber to the customers in Olney. This final stage will replace the existing copper network, with a projected completion day of 2016. *FTTP service availability will depend on customer location within the Brazos footprint.
