Effective today, Thursday, July 2, the Brazos lobby is closed to the public.  We will continue to provide quality and reliable service Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.  If you have a question or issue that you feel must be handled in person, please call us at 940.564.5659 or 800.687.3222, and we can discuss the issue or schedule an in person appointment. Keeping our customers and employees safe as we continue to provide service is our top priority.  Thank you for understanding and cooperating  during these changing times.

OLNEY, TX – Brazos Communications has implemented procedures to protect against COVID-19 while maintaining the vital telecommunications network.

Brazos is part of this community, and as such, we have response plans in place to help ensure that we will be able to continue providing quality, reliable service to our community. The health of our customers and employees is very important to us; therefore, we have implemented processes to help detect, prevent and control the spread of infectious diseases, like COVID-19, that might impact our workplace. We also want to inform you of other steps we are taking to assist our members and customers.

In addition to State and Federal Authorities information, we are also maintaining contact with local governments and local school districts to provide support in these trying times.  We know that with the necessary confinements and closures of community networking, the operation of the telecommunications network is more necessary than before.  Therefore, we want the public to know our commitment to our service for our customers and our communities.

We will be

  • Maintaining Network Reliability: Our advanced communications network ensures that our customers – including government offices, first responders, health care facilities, and businesses – across our service area maintain the connectivity they rely on. The network was built and is maintained to sustain maximum capacity during peak usage which is typically in the evenings, so a surge during the day should still be well within the network’s capabilities to manage. And if there is a problem, we are here to help address it for our customers.
  • Community Assistance: You are important to us.  We’re committed to serving our customers and our communities by ensuring you have and we maintain reliable access to the online resources and information. To ease the strain in this challenging time, we commit to the following:
    • We are partnering with school districts in our service area.
    • We’ll open guest (free) Wi-Fi hotspots across our footprint for public use.
    • We’ll waive the Installation fee of $59.00 to new customers for the next 90 days.
    • We request and recommend that customers utilize our drive-thru facility, contact us online at https://www.brazosnet.com/ or through Facebook messenger https://www.facebook.com/brazoscommunications/ or over the phone (800-687-3222) for service inquiries or transactions.
    • For the safety of our field personnel, customers may be asked if they have any safety concerns that our staff should be aware of, or any concerns about our staff entering the customer’s premises. If you have safety concerns, please call us to reschedule an existing appointment at (800-687-3222.)
    • You can pay your bill online, or by mail, or drop-box located at 109 N. Ave D, Olney, TX. For online payments, just visit https://www.brazosnet.com/. Contact us if you cannot afford your bill due to disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

To help our rural communities, Brazos is providing guest (Free) Wi-Fi hotspots in each exchange to provide Internet access from vehicles, in the event people need to access to the Internet. The hotspots are available at the following locations:

  • Archer City – Brazos Central Office parking lot. (203 W. Main St.)
  • Bryson – Brazos Central Office parking lot. (100 East St.)
  • Elbert – Brazos Central Office parking lot. (6411 Hwy. 79)
  • Eliasville – Brazos Central Office parking lot. (100 Prairie St.)
  • Graham – On the Square (located between the Courthouse and the new City Hall building.)
  • Jermyn – Brazos Central Office parking lot. (159 First St.)
  • Loving – Brazos Central Office parking lot. (1006 Steadham St.)
  • Newcastle – Brazos Central Office parking lot (605 Harrison St.)
  • Olney – Iron Corner (across from the Gazebo)
  • Woodson – Brazos Central Office parking lot (205 US Hwy. 183 N)

The network name will be Brazos Free Wi-Fi and no password is needed.
