What is Brazos DSL?

Brazos DSL is a new high-speed access service to the Internet. Using EtherLoop technology, Brazos DSL lets you surf the Internet while talking on the phone.

Where is Brazos offering DSL service?

Brazos DSL is currently available in Archer City, Antelope, Bryson, Crystal Falls, Elbert, Eliasville, Farmer, Jean, Jermyn, Loving, Newcastle, Markley, Murray, Orth, Olney, Proffitt, Southbend and Woodson, Texas. Service extends approximately three miles from closest Brazos Telephone Central Office. Why would I want Brazos DSL?

Speed is one great advantage of the Brazos DSL service. Being able to use the same line for your Internet access that you use for your telephone service is another advantage. Your connection is always on. Open up your browser, and you are on the web. No more modems dialing out.

Will I be able to continue to use my custom calling features?

Yes. Brazos DSL does not interfere with custom calling features, like Call Waiting, Caller ID, Call Forwarding, etc.

What are the requirements for my computer?

For Windows Computers

  • Pentium-class processor, 166 MHz or faster
  • Windows 95/98/2000 or Windows NT 4.0 with service pack 3 or above
  • Internet Browser (Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator)
  • CD-ROM or DVD drive
  • Network Interface Card (Home Network Ethernet 10/100 PCI Adapter)
  • 32 MB of RAM (64 MB of RAM needed for Windows 2000)
  • 65 MB or free disk space (if you install customized browser) or
  • 25 MB of free disk space (if you already have a browser)
